Job Description: Provide efficient and economical mechanical maintenance service for mobile equipments by carrying out tasks as defined in the SOPs adhering to the safety and Quality standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for Safety and Discipline in the workplace• Carry out Mechanical maintenance, fault finding and monitoring of the mobile equipments and
other related equipment and carry out the tasks assigned by Foreman and Supervisor
• Ensure maximum operational availability of mobile equipment by diagnostic work and repair methods
• Carry out duties independently when called out and report breakdowns and faults
• Assume additional responsibility for mobile equipment maintenance in the absence of Foreman
• Ensure that emergency work is followed up by reporting to Foreman
• Ensure work practice conforms to safety regulations and procedures
• Ensure that all preventive maintenance (Mechanical) is conducted as defined in the system
• Attend breakdowns as reported by Staff & Equipment Control on immediate basis

Experience in container in sea port and/ or heavy equipment environment

• Preferable experience in working on heavy equipment in ports, mining, steel industries
• Detailed knowledge of a wide range of mechanical equipment, diesel engines, transmissions, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, brakes etc.

2. Yard Planner (03 no.) : Basic : 2642 SAR +858 SAR Fixed OT + Food = 3500 SAR Net Salary.
Job Description: Optimize yard space by assigning locations to containers based on yard planning methodology, with due considerations to achieve optimal equipment utilization, minimize unproductive moves, safety and discipline; while adhering to port policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Assist in defining and setting the overall yard strategy• Ensure that yard planning parameters are set and followed - Container yard allocations based on destination, line, weight, size, type, status, IMO, Reefers
• Use expert decking to allocate containers to the yard and modify and re nominate wherever exceptions are seen or changes required
• Monitor status of containers expected to enter the terminal gate and ensure locations are assigned for the same. Assign a particular range for an expected outbound vessel and containers are then assigned locations within the range
• For discharge of empty containers, plan such that containers belonging to the same line are stacked together
• Nominate empty containers required to be shifted for loading on vessel as per requirement of liner - defined parameters like age, movement in yard, yard location, special instructions from the agent
• Monitor the Yard operations in real-time and take necessary corrective actions if exceptions arise e.g. yard delays, yard clashes, equipment delays
• Understand the process required for movement of special type of containers, and immediately
address these requests (OOG, reefer, IMDG hazardous cargo, leakage, damaged, etc), giving them priority over housekeeping moves
• Maintain separate stacking for
o Damaged empty containers
o ‘To be repaired’ and ‘repaired’
• Follow requests if any from the gate while allocating yard locations to containers
• Identify missing containers
• Manage housekeeping activities (by changing locations as per operational convenience) to
ensure quick turnaround time during operations
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Experience as Yard Planner / Dispatcher/ Vessel Hatchman/ Yard foremano Mandatory: 2 -3 years
• Preferable experience as Yard Planner in container terminal operating system
• Understanding of vessel characteristics/ dimensions, factors impacting vessel stability
• Working exposure to NAVIS SPARCs is preferable
• Reading and writing skills in English language
• Basic reading and writing skills in Arabic language

3. RTG Operator (5 nos) : Basic : 2642 SAR +858 SAR Fixed OT + Food = 3500 SAR Net Salary .
Job Description: Operate RTGs to facilitate vessel side operations, yard operations, exam and container
deliveries, in accordance with safe operating procedures, performance targets and standards
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Operate the machine until relieved end of the shift or as per the instructions of the Yard Supervisor/ Foreman• Ensure that the equipment is always in good condition for operations and report any faults immediately to Yard Supervisor/ Yard Foreman
• Follow move instructions and work area being dispatched from time to time by dispatcher through VMT
• Ensure that the priority is given to ITVs over external trucks, and within ITVs, priority is given to loading over discharging and yard shifting
• Execute the shifting of containers as per the instructions given by Traffic Dispatcher
• Update the VMT after execution of the assigned work order
• Hand-over all necessary information regarding the status of the equipment, and unfinished work to the next shift operator
• Follow the concept of corrective maintenance (report any minor faults, even if they do not impact the working of the equipment)
• Undertake routine cleaning of cabins and windows
• Undertake tasks (act as a multi operator) as directed during non driving periods
• Have good understanding of the yard layouts and standard processes of managing IMO class containers and exceptions
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

4. Quay Crane Operator (07 no.s): Basic : 2642 + 858 fixed OT + Food = 3500 NET SALARY
Job Description: Operate cranes for discharging and loading of containers, in accordance with safe operating procedures, performance targets and standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Position the crane safely alongside the vessel near the required Hatch/ bay as per the VesselSupervisor’s/ Vessel Hatchman’s instructions and in accordance with the crane program
• Lower the boom of the crane, come back to the operator’s cabin, hoist down the spreader and
start discharging / loading containers from/to vessel according to instructions
• Ensure not to handle container prior unlashing & twist-locks unlocking is completed
• Ensure the lashers are in a safe position whilst discharging/ loading operation is in progress
• Take all safety precaution needed when lifting hatch cover from/to vessel
• Ensure that crane is secured, properly parked and anchors are dropped down during high wind
situation
• Take all safety measures required while working under poor visibility and coordinate with the
tally clerks and berth supervisor/ hatch foreman to resolve issues related to visibility
• Ensure that crane is clear from vessel obstructions to avoid accidents that could occur in lieu of these obstructions
• Undertake routine cleaning of cabins and windows
• Follow the concept of corrective maintenance (report any minor faults, even if they do not impact the working of the equipment)
• Ensure adherence to safety standards during discharging & loading operations
• Do not move the crane until the vessel is completely secured
• Coordinate with Vessel Hatchman, Tally Clerk and Lashers for proper positioning of containers in bay and on tractor trailers
• Take special care when lifting hatch cover from / to vessel and OOG cargo
• Boom-up, shut off and anchor the crane on completion of vessel operations
• Report vessel & container damage (especially top side) to Vessel Hatchman & Vessel Supervisor
• Inspect the crane and fill-in the checklist on for regular inspections
• Operate the machine until relieved in the cabin at end of the shift or as the case may be
• Hand-over all necessary information regarding the status of the equipment, and unfinished work to the next shift operator
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Experience of operating quay craneso Mandatory: Training for QC Operation
o Mandatory: 2 to 3 years
5. Vessel Supervisor (7 no.s): Basic : 3230 + Food = 3230 NET SALARY
Job Description:
• Manage and supervise allocated vessels, ensuring maximum productivity in cost effective manner through optimal utilization of resources, while adhering to quality & safety standards
• Manage all communication with Ship Crew and Marine personal for berthing of the vessel
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for the oversight of operations on upto 2 vessels at a time• Provide inputs for effective vessel operations and resource allocation
• Ensure vessel operations are managed in accordance with terminal policies & procedures,
legislative policy and customer requirements
• Continuously monitor vessel operations, resolve issues if any, thereby ensuring continuity in
operations
• Ensure optimal utilization of all resources – space, equipment and personnel
• Receive the vessel allocation details from the Superintendent/ Shift Manager
• Receive the colour sheet from vessel planner before the vessel berths
• Understand the number of cranes to be used and the number of container discharges and loadings from each bay
• Finalize the crane program in coordination with vessel planner based on the number of cranes assigned to the vessel. Crane program to be proposed by vessel planner. Ensure the following
factors while assigning:
o Minimal or no clashing occurs between the quay cranes during their loading/discharging cycles
o The impact of discharge in the yard If the complete vessel is discharged within a short span of time, it might affect the yard capacity and result in traffic congestion
o Inform Vessel Planner once the crane program is completed, to get it updated in the system
• Analyse the quay crane operations (real time) to understand possibility of quay crane overloading and discuss it with Superintendent, if required
• In case of a dynamic change in the stowage plan, receive updated sequence sheet from the vessel planner
• Analyse the discharge and loading locations in the yard, to understand the distance required to be covered by the ITVs
• Co-ordinate with the Dispatcher, Yard Planner, Yard Supervisor and Yard Foreman to investigate ITV delays
• Co-ordinate with runner to ensure the gang members assemble under crane before the vessel berths
• Ensure the quay cranes arranged along their respective bays as per the crane program
• Synchronize yard and crane activities by coordinating with vessel planning and changing the crane program (changing the sequence of bays) based on two reasons:
o Yard congestion (other vessels also loading/discharging at the same yard location)
o Crane efficiency (If one of the quay-cranes is performing considerably slower, hence leading to clashing)
• Analyse at regular time intervals, the number moves completed per crane, and also the remaining moves per crane by collecting information from the individual tally clerks
• Communicate to the Commercial Department at predetermined time intervals, the done moves and balance moves for each crane
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Experience in the container shipping and terminal operations industryo Mandatory: 2 to 3 years
o Preferable: 3 to 5 years
• Experience in supervisory role in container terminal operations.
6. Reach Stacker Operator: Basic : 1509 SAR + 491 SAR FIXED OT + Food = 2000 NET SALARY.
Job Description: Operate Reach Stacker, ECH, to facilitate vessel side operations, yard operations and container deliveries, in accordance with safe operating procedures, performance targets and standards
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Operate the machine until relieved end of the shift or as per the instructions• Follow instructions dispatched from time to time by dispatcher through VMT
• Ensure that the priority is given to ITVs over external trucks, and within ITVs, priority is given to
loading over discharging and yard shifting
• Hand-over all necessary information regarding the status of the equipment, and unfinished work
to the next shift operator
• Conduct regular inspection before commencement of operations
• Ensure that the equipment is always in good condition for operations and report any faults
immediately to Yard Supervisor/ Yard Foreman
• Undertake tasks (act as a multi operator) as directed during non-driving periods
• Undertake routine cleaning of cabins and windows
• Responsible for safety & discipline in the work area
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are obeyed
• Train new trainees whenever required
• Ensure compliance with Fatal Risk Standards
• Ensure compliance with Safe Work Practices
• Ensure compliance with HSE policy
• Reporting accidents and ‘near misses’ in accordance with defined safety procedures.

7. Dispatcher : Negotiable.
Job Description:
Monitor and control container movements in the terminal with due considerations to achieve optimal equipment utilization, minimize unproductive moves, and adherence to safety standards, terminal policies and procedures
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure quay cranes have been assigned a Trailer Truck (TT) pool. Check the crane program to ensure TT pool is allocated based on work load• Ensure that the allocation of TTs is done using prime route and queues modified to accommodate unplanned movements and queues of trucks
• Modify the number of trucks needed for each pool in order to meet the crane productivity
• Allocate the equipment (e.g. RTGs) for movement of containers through VMT as per crane work program
• Analyse and activate appropriate work queues for equipment in SPARCs. Set the priorities for Points of Work & pools (including gate)
• Modify the dispatching sequence if required, to control congestion
• Monitor the discharge and loading activities in real time and anticipate the problems that might arise in the container movement process for all types of containers
• Co-ordinate movements to exam and delivery area in a manner that minimizes exceptional moves
• Anticipate traffic congestion at yard, communicate to the Yard Supervisor and act to relieve the congestion, without impacting port operations
• Monitor the idle time of all equipment. Ensure that the idle time does not exceed beyond a
specified limit. Follow up with the concerned operator / driver to resolve problems if any
• Check quay crane programs along with vessel planner and use quay commander to detect
possible clashes in quay side and yard operations
• Understand different types of containers bound to be worked upon and assign special container
handling equipment in particular range slots to move non-standard boxes (OOG, open top etc)
• Assign equipment during housekeeping activities to ensure quick turnaround time during operations
• Generate multiple reports at predetermined intervals to check for potential congestion in the yard, and communicate to the respective supervisors
• In the event to system breakdown/ failure, communicate with equipment operators over radio to facilitate completion of operations
